I think another issue is identifying the blogs you want to be featured on: it is time consuming to say the least.  Some PR directories of journalists do feature blogs, but are not comprehensive because bloggers do not register their sites

There&#039;s no doubt that some of the more high profile blogs had bad experiences with PR emails. When an email is off-subject or the tone isn&#039;t right for the blog and there is no real relationship. 

The other problem is that the type of bloggers client want are usually quite aware that if they link out to the links provided in the pitch they lose some Google Juice and so it has to be really worth their while.

Anything that is an exclusive, like journos, will obviously capture their attention!
